TO BE BURIED AT BURLINGAME: Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Federated church in Burlingame for R.D. Taylor, 79, who died Monday in an Osage City rest home where he had been for the past three weeks. He was born September 29, 1889, at Burlingame and spent most of his life in Burlingame community. He established the Taylor IGA grocery store at Burlingame in 1929. He retired in 1954. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Modern Woodmen of America. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Anna Taylor, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Jarvis, Topeka and Mrs. Ruth Behm, San Diego, Calif.; two sons, Willard Taylor, Burlingame, and Vernon Taylor, Olathe; two step-daughters, Mrs. Maxine Taylor who is of Olathe and Mrs. J.W. Kline, Burlingame; two step-sons, J.G. Denny and Wayne Denny, both of Burlingame; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Burlingame Cemetery.
