MARIE BEAN GILBERT
ST. ALBANS - Mrs. Marie Bean Gilbert, age 91, died Wednesday afternoon, June 22, 2005, in the Northwestern Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in St. Albans, Dec. 29, 1913, daughter of the late Archie and Delia (Menard) Bean.
Mrs. Gilbert was a professional gardener, as shown by her flower gardens on Hoyt Street. She was married to Mahlon "Chris" Gilbert for over 61 years, Mr. Gilbert died May 9, 1999.
Her survivors include her two sons and their spouses, Edward David and Caro1ine Gilbert of Ocala, Fla., George Donald and Ann Gilbert of Swanton; six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, and six special great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by all six of her siblings: Beatrice Hamilton, Gladys Hamilton, Archie Lefebvre, Walter Bean, Edward Bean and Robert Bean. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Brady & Levesque Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home, 86 South Main, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in the Gilbert family lot in Riverside cemetery, in Swanton.
