GEORGE F. LANGLEY, JR. Riverdale, IL George F. Langley Jr., born on April 26, 1925 in Riverdale IL, passed away on September 11, 2008 at Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler in Orange City, FL.

George was a WWII Navy Veteran and upon returning to the states married Madge Marie Barnett. They had 5 children and lived in Calumet City, IL. He retired after 32 years of service with Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad as a switchman, as well as 25 years of service as a driver for Calumet Ready Mix Cement Company in Calumet City, IL. He was a member of the Debary V.F.W. Post # 8093 and the DeBary Moose Lodge# 655 in Florida and a member of Kouts American Legion Post 301. George was an avid ballroom dancer and enjoyed bowling. Madge passed away in 1981 and George moved to Lake Helen, Florida. He met Winona Lilly and they were married in 1984.

George is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Winona Langley; father of Carol (Thomas) Kuske of Coats, NC, Frederick (Carole) Langley of Valparaiso, IN, Sandra (Ronald) Vollbrecht of Homer Glen, IL, Larry (Jeanette) Langley of Hammond, IN, Daughter in Law, Fran Langley of Palm Coast, FL; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. George was pre-deceased by one grandson.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 13 in Lake Helen United Methodist Church at 2p.m., 111 Delaware Ave W, Lake Helen. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 1625 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Orange City, FL 32763.
