Republic- Doris E. Paquette, age 87 of 9842 Wahlstroms Rd. Republic and former Michigamme resident passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at her daughter’s home while in the loving care of her family and UP Home Health & Hospice.
Doris was born September 9, 1925 in Escanaba to LeRoy & Elsie (Dupuis) Stahl. Doris resided in Michigamme where she operated the Youth Center and was a member of the former St. Agnes Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing BINGO and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Doris is survived by 5 children: Yvonne Paquette of Republic, Willard Paquette of Sheldon, Iowa, Trudy (Ken) Seppanen of Michigamme, Larry Paquette of Republic and Stacey (Jeff Kulju) Paquette of Republic, a brother Terry Stahl of Crandon, WI, 6 grandchildren: Travis Paquette, Laurie Guidebeck, Ken Seppanen Jr., Tracey Whitaker, Teresa Kulju and Dennis Paquette Jr, six great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Willard, a son Dennis Paquette, a granddaughter Amber Kulju, 9 brothers, and 1 sister.
The Mass at 7:00pm on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Republic will be offered in memory of Doris.
