Joseph Patrick Herps

Louisville - 87, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2018.

He was born March 17, 1931 in Louisville a son to the late William C. Herps and Ruby C. Bevens Herps.

Joseph worked many years at the American Printing House for the Blind and was a retired electronics technician for Alliant Health Systems with over 25 years of service. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a Navy Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Louise Herps and siblings, Betty Flynn, William C., Jim, Samuel, and Herald Herps.

He is survived by his step-children, siblings, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, "in St. Matthews" with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the funeral home.

It keeping with Joseph's wishes, memorial contributions may be made to Norton Children's Hospital.
