WHITEHALL, N.Y. — Wayne E. Monty, age 77, of Mountain Street in Whitehall, passed away on Saturday, August 11th 2018 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center in Rutland, Vt.
Wayne was born on September 6th 1940 in Whitehall, N.Y., he was the son of the late Claude and Vera (Blackburn) Monty.
He married Mary Agnes (Stiles) Monty on May 13th 1962.
He ran the Monty Farm in Whitehall, N.Y. for many years until his retirement.
Wayne loved being a farmer and taking care of all of the animals. He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, trapping, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother; Glen Monty and in-laws; Mary and Charles Stiles.
