Irvin Bruderer Nydegger, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, age 79, passed away peacefully January 25, 1994.

He was born August 9, 1914, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Fred and Julia Nydegger. He married his sweetheart, May Braby, Nov. 15, 1940, in the Salt Lake Temple.Grandpa was a faithful employee of the LDS Church for over 40 years where he worked in the Welfare Department and as a director in the Translation Department. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various callings including bishop of the Canyon Rim Ward for five years. His most spiritually enjoyable experience was serving as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for the past 10 years. Dad will forever be cherished and revered by his posterity because of his devotion and commitment to his family and the Lord.

He is survived by: His wife, May; children, Robert (Marjorie), Julie (Robert) Swensen, and Fred (Debbie); brothers and sisters, Sylvia Pehrson, Roy Nydegger and Don Nydegger; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lilly, and sons, Stephen and Scott.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 1994, at 11 a.m., at the Canyon Rim Stake Center, 3051 South 2900 East. Friends may attend a viewing at the MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the stake center on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. The interment will be at the Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
