The funeral service for Ola Mae McKnight, age 101, of Opelika, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Clifford E. Jones will be officiating.
Mrs. McKnight who passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Arbor Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born January 2, 1911 in Tallapoosa County, AL.
She was a member of Philista Chapter #184 Order of Eastern Star. Public viewing will be Tuesday, from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. The family will receive guest from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mrs. McKnight will be at the church one hour prior to the services.
Survivors include: one daughter, Dorothy Cooper of Opelika, AL; two grandchildren, Willie (Sonya) Cooper and Kristal Cooper; one great-granddaughter, Nikita Cooper; devoted cousins, Cora L. Carlisle, Lewis (Betty) Palm, Bernice (Lionel) Davis and Cassandra (Raul) Carras; her church family and friends.
