Marrs.

Mrs. Elizabth Marrs died at the home of her son, Dr. R. F. Marrs, at Sciota, at 11 a. m. Saturday, aged 78 years, 9 months and 10 days. The remains were taken by train to Adair to- [sic] Monday and from there were taken to Pennington Point church, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. Pittenger of Macomb; interment in the cemetery at that place.

Deceased's maiden name was Elizabeth Pennington and she was born in Pennington Point, Jan. 15, 1835, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pennington, now deceased. She grew to womanhood in that vicinity, having made this her home all her life. She was married to Abijah Marrs in 1857, he dying about thirteen years ago.

She is survived by two children, Dr[.] R. F. Marrs of Sciota, Mrs. W. P. Shoop of Kirkwood, Ill.; one brother, Edward Pennington of Auburn, Ia[.], and four sisters, Mrs. E. W. Beghtol, Holdredge, Neb.; Mrs[.] Luther M. Worley, Anderson, Mol; Mrs. Frank Herndon, Audubon, Ia[.]; Mrs. A. B. Wetzel, Macomb.
