John Stephen Actis

John Actis was born in Bakersfield, CA to Blanche and Elmer Actis. John worked at Hopper Steel as a master journeyman for several years. For the last 20 years of his life, John worked at Sierra International in various positions ranging from parts manager to head of Canadian sales.

Through his life, John enjoyed coaching high school football, cooking, fishing and writing music. Some of John's proudest moments came from watching his children play their many sporting events. John always had a way of making people laugh and had a good story to tell to anyone that would listen.

Diagnosed over 20 years ago with Diabetes, this terrible disease would ultimately cut his life short.

John is survived by his wife Diane, three children Spencer (Jen), Corey (Lauren), and Monet and three grandchildren Jayden, Andie and Cooper. John is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Austin.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in his honor.
