Laura Lee Bachman Bacon, 77 of Temple Texas died on Aug. 8, 2018 in Temple.
Graveside services will be held Saturday August 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Wilbarger Memorial Park with Greg Johnston officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Laura was born July 14, 1941 in Vernon Texas. She was the daughter of the late Walter Herman Bachman and the late Addie Lee Graninger Bachman. She married Robert Ray Bacon on Feb. 9, 1962. She graduated from Lockett High School in 1959. She attended a secretary school in Wichita Falls, Texas. She worked as a secretary at the Vernon State Hospital, when it was located south of Vernon. She lived a full and active and rewarding life in Vernon, Odessa, El Paso, San Antonio, Midland, Waco, Round Rock and Temple. She was a member of Palm Valley Lutheran Church in Round Rock.
Laura is survived by her husband Robert Ray of Temple, her son and daughter-in-law Robert Kyle and Shireen Bacon; two grandchildren Robert James and Emma Bacon, all of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Janet Kay and John Van Story of Lubbock, and also a number of nieces and nephews and cousins.
Laura was preceded in death by a brother Roy Leon Bachman and a sister Mary Loretta Bachman Johnston.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
