June 23, 1928 - August 07, 2018

JW “Buddy” Reneau, age 90 of Seguin, passed away on August 7, 2018. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 5-7pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 2 pm at Hillcrest Church with Reverend Don Wiehe and Reverend Frank Williams officiating. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church. Buddy was born on June 23, 1928 in Guadalupe County, Texas to JR and Lois (Davenport) Reneau. Buddy owned and operated JW Reneau Poultry and Egg Co., Inc. for 36 years. He was a charter member of Hillcrest Church where he was made an honorary Board Member. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit among all his family and friends. He never failed to greet everyone at church. He will be remembered as the most loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He also enjoyed his “coffee buddies” at both Whataburger and Donut Palace. Buddy is preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Kathy Reneau, his parents, his sisters, Mildred Springs and her husband Pitts, Leona Reneau, Maxine Knodel and husband Ernest, brother, Malcom Reneau, brothers in law, Dalton Smith and wife Odessa, Leroy Smith and wife Mary, and Paul Smith, sister in laws, Jean Brumbelow and her husband Bob, Helen Broadway and her husband Paul, Leona Hoot and her husband Anson. Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Dorothy Reneau; daughter, Wanda Grimm and husband Arno; grandchildren who knew and loved him as “Papa”, Robin Westbrook and husband Mark, Brandon Grimm and wife Melissa, Justin Reneau and wife Kelsey, Desiree Morris and husband Bobby; great-grandchildren, Toby Grimm, Levi Grimm, Jude Grimm, Cooper Morris, Hadley Morris, Haley Hendrix, and Beckett Vining; sisters, Iva Mae Carley, Billie Fowler and husband Bennis; sisters-in- law, Gerry Kirkland and husband Glenn, Sandra Smith, and Bess Emily Reneau; brothers in law, Burl Smith and wife Delores, Marvin Smith and wife Ruth; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Grimm, Justin Reneau, Bobby Morris, Mark Westbrook, Arno Grimm, Randy Orr, Daryl Kirkland, and Jonathan Flores. His great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Buddy was loved by many and will be missed in our community. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Church, P. O.
