Andries Davis (1759-1850) was placed on the pension roll, 1828, for nine months' service as private, 1777, in Capt. Fred Schoonmaker's company. He was born in Marbletown; died in Olive, N. Y.
Andries was baptised in the Old Dutch Church of Kingston (Hoes 6917) with spons rs of Andries DeWitt and Blandina Ten Eyck. He was a sargent in the Ulster Co.militia during the American Revolution. He carried dispatches through lands infested with Indians and Tories. He lived in Olive,in 1840. He was married to Sarah by Reverand S. Goetchims at Marbletown.
