Roger Annenberg, 22, Publisher's Son Dies. Philadelphia, PA. Roger Annenberg, 22, son of the publisher of the Philadelphia Inquirer, died August 7 after a long illness at his home in nearby Tinicum, it was disclosed Tuesday. Young Annenberg attended Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania before his illness caused him to interrupt his studies. He was graduated cum laude from Episcopal Academy.

Roger was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He died in a psychiatric institution in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, after taking an overdose of Seconal. He graduated from Harvard in 1962. The Annenberg Hall at Harvard University was named after him.
