Obituary
The funeralof Mrs. Martha E Kelley was held at the Methodist church at, 11 o'clock yesterday and was largely attended. The sermon was by Rev. Melear and the music was by the Methodist Church choir which rendered "Nearer My God to Thee" "Rock of Ages," and "God Be With Thee." There were. many beautiful and appropriate floral tributes. The interment was at the I. O. O F cemetery. The following obituary was contributed by D. F. Maisn, a relative:
Martha Ellen Kelley, daughter of David and Hannah Maish, was born near Frankfort, at the old Maish homestead, east of the city, May 17, 1843. On March 31st, 1864 she was united in marriage to Franklin A. Kelley, of this county and continued to reside in Clinton county till September, 1884, when she, with her husband and family, removed to Tucson, Arizona where she died October 4th. 1910, aged 67 years, 4 months and 17 days. She was the mother of three, children, ' Ella May, who' died June 27, 1871, Forest Clayton, lvy Myrtle Kelley who, with the bereaved husband survive to mourn her loss Out of a family of fifteen, eight sons and seven dougters, brothers and sisters of the deceased, and children of David and Hannah Maish, who came to Clinton county from Pennsylvania in 1831, there survives but two brothers. Frederick and James P. Maish, of Arizona, and Mrs. Catherine Young of this city. Martha Kelley, in early life, united with the Methodist Episcopal church, and her entire life has been one of true christian devotion to her nearest friends She has been known and, respected as one who has lived to make others happy and to endear herself to all who knew her. Her christian faith was that of a devoted follower of the loving Christ, and as true and beautiful as the religion that was her constant hope. A host of' friends and relatives, both in Clinton county and at her late home in Ar izona, deeplv mourn her loss. Frankfort (Ind.) Times. ,
