WALFORD.—After a lingering and painful illness of three and a half years Brother W. J. Walford fell asleep in Jesus at the Waterfall Sanitorium, New South Wales, on September 5, 1918. He had just reached his thirty-second birthday. We laid him to rest in the sanitarium burying ground on the following Sabbath morning, and, while doing so, presented to the mourners words of hope from the God of all comfort. Four years ago Brother Walford was baptized in
the Stanmore SDA church by Pastor A. H. White.
While at the sanitorium he was known among the patients as " the religious man." He died in the faith, and expressed a wish that his children should be brought up in the message. May the promise of the Lord be fulfilled to the young widow and the five fatherless little ones.
