George C. Howell, 88, of Elgin, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Born January 26, 1930 in Unicoi, TN, he was the son of the late Geter and Cora Lee Bennett Howell. George was a proud veteran of the US Navy who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, as well as working with his hands and in his shop.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Pauline Howell; and three sisters.
