John Armstrong, 43 of Pensacola, FL, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 29, 2006 in Hook, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother, Claire Armstrong and his father, Walter (Army) Louis Armstrong, Jr. He is survived by his sons, Jonathon Paul Armstrong and Denny Ray Armstrong; daughter, Jennifer Armstrong; uncles, John Armstrong and Jimmy Armstrong; aunts, Rebecca Jefcoats and Dorothy Armstrong Baugh; longtime friend, Michelle Rushing; and many other dear friends and relatives. He will especially be remembered for his ability to make everyone laugh. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Pallbearers will be Alvin Booth, Brian Bjorklund, John Armstrong, Jimmy Armstrong, Stephen A. Simpson, Jr. and Peter William Zimmerman. Visitation will take place from 2-4 p.m., Monday, September 4, 2006 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Chaplain Janet Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
