ELIZABETH CITY - Funeral rites for Doyle Lassell Mann, 48, who died Monday night [June 23, 1952] were conducted Wednesday at 34 p.m. at the Twiford Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Clarence Williams, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. W.R. Stephens of Creswell. Burial was in New Hollywood Cemetery.
Mr. Mann was a native of Manns Harbor and had been living in Elizabeth City for the past 31 years. He was the son of Theodore and Sadie Tillett Mann, husband of Mrs. Gertrude Harrell Mann, a member of the Calvary Baptist Church were he had served on the board of deacons for several years.
