Gene Warren Grose God rescued him from his earthly body and all he loved on earth to a new home in heaven after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, April 29, 2007. Gene was born to Shirley and Cornelia Grose, on May 7, 1951. He was preceded in death by grandmother, Dorothy Gray, and father, Shirley Grose. He is survived by wife, Beverly; daughter, Jennifer Schlegel and husband, Kevin; son, Shannon Grose and fiancie, Rachel Hageman; plus the love of his life, his grandson, Jackson; mother, Cornelia Grose; brothers, Harold Grose & wife, Renee, and Jerry Grose; sisters, Shelia Hogan and Donna Weed; and his special aunt, Kathryn and uncle, J.C. Taylor, Edgar and Rachel Gray of Bakersfield, California; and many nieces and nephews. Gene retired from Unicco Service Company Inc. at the Oklahoma City Bridgestone Firestone Plant after 26 years of service. His passion was restoring classic cars, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends. We want to thank all our friends and family for all their prayers and continued support throughout his illness. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Oklahoma County for all the loving care they gave and in particular, Carrie Owens, RN. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6525 N. Meridian, Suite 110, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. The family will greet friends at Resthaven Funeral Home, from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2007.
