William Holder was born August 09, 1819 in Stovall, Barren Co., KY, and died October 24, 1871 in Woodlawn, Monroe Co., MO.
A child of Fielding Holder and Jaley Nugent. The Family moved from Barren Co.,KY in 1841. Fielding Holder had died in 1824.
He married MARY ANN PICKETT December 05, 1844 in Paris, Monroe Co., MO, daughter of WILLIAM PICKETT and NANCY HILL.
William was included in the Barren Co., KY court order in 1825 appointing Elisha Dickey as guardian of the minor Holder children and was included in the court order of 1834 making Fielding F. Holder his guardian. He accompanied the family on the trip from Kentucky to Missouri in about 1841. At the time his estate was admitted to probate in 15 Nov. 1871 there were 3 surviving children and his wife, Mary. Mary Marium and Elizabeth had died before 1871. William was a farmer. He is buried in the Oak Grove Church Cemetery in Monroe County Missouri.
