Anthony Wayne Avans, II, age 20, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, October 19, 2002. He attended Central Baptist Church, was employed as a surveyor at Austin Land Surveying and was a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Survivors include his wife, Megan Roden Avans; mother and step-father, Deborah and Don Neuenschwander; father and step-mother, Tony and Joanne Avans; five sisters, Angel and husband Derrick Eihausen, Cindy Avans, Megan Neuenschwander, Julie and husband John Ferguson, Tammie and husband Warren Whited; two brothers, Troy and Jeff Neuenschwander; grandmother, Lillian Lemons; grandfather, Victor Neuenschwander; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held at 2:30 PM Tuesday October 22, 2002 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. David McNabb officiating. Interment was in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitaton was from 4-8 PM Monday and from 12-2:30 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home 404 South Moore Road.
