Norma Walworth

Norma J. Walworth, 81, of the town of Knapp, Jackson County, died on Friday, Dec. 27, 1996, in the Pine View Nursing Home in Black River
Falls, where she had been a resident since March 28, 1995.

Shew as born on July 29, 1915 in the town of Knapp, Jackson County, to George and Emily (Turner) Alvard. She was raised in the town of
Knapp, and she married Charles N. Walworth on Aug. 9, 1933 in Black River Falls.

The couple lived their entire married lives in the town of Knapp. She worked as a cranberry sorter on various marshes and she was a member of the Cranberry Women's Club of Mather.

Survivors include three sons, George (Judy) and Dale (Mary), both of Warrens, and Ned (Georgeann) of Beloit; two daughters, Audrey Gnoit of Milwaukee and Connie Priessnitz of Mauston; 21 granchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles on Nov. 20, 1979; one son, Clinton; one daughter, Alice Nemitz; one grandson, Gene Nemitz; and one brother and one sister.

Funeral services were on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m. from Torgerson's Funeral Chapel in Black River Falls. The Rev. Henry Klug officiated and burial was in the Mormon Cemetery, town of Knapp, Jackson County. Friends called
at the funeral chapel on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and
on Tuesday one hour prior to service.

The family prefers memorials given in Norma's name to either Pine View Nursing Home or to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, c/o Rulland Rochester of Warrens.

Pallbearers were Steve Tralmer, Donald Doers, Richard Delaney, Gerald Johnson, Bruce Allen, and Gary Nemitz.
