M. Karen Adams, age 71, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Thursday, July 26, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Cynthiana on June 12, 1947, to the late Clay Tolbert Adams, Sr., and Hazel Madelyn Colvin Adams. She was a counselor/therapist with Adams and Associates, an elder at Cynthiana Christian Church, a former service moderator of the official board at the church and a member of the Cynthiana Lions Club, Licking Valley Singers, Champions for a Drug Free Harrison County and Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy.

She is survived by: two sons, Stephen (April) Helsabeck and Nathan Reynolds Helsabeck; a brother, Clay (Ann Milton) Tolbert Adams, II; two grandchildren, Daniel and Evann Helsabeck; and five nieces and nephews, Tony, Shawn, Stephanie, Shane and Seth.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Cynthiana Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Ware Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics, Attn: Wed Gifts, 1133 19th Street, 12th Floor, Washington, DC 20036 or a charity of your choice.
