Betty Lea Benefiel Marshall was born January 17, 1930 South of Topping corner or East of Oglesby. She married Charles Marshall November 1950, and was by her side. Betty was employed for 32 years at Phillips Petroleum where during that time she returned to college earning her Paralegal and retired in 1992. They were blessed with son Charles Lee Marshall’s two sons Clay and Kyle, their daughter, Brenda Marshall McConnell’s two sons Shawn Potter’s two sons Dillon and Collin and her son Brandon Florence. Betty Lea Benefiel Marshall has three surviving siblings: Louise Benefiel Yates, Leo Benefiel, Cleo Benefiel Stanberry, sister-in-law Betty Bennett Benefiel, and brother-in-law Dennis Stanberry. She is always loved and cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
On July 24, 2018 Betty Lea Marshall joined her baby twin brother, Mother Jessie Walker and Father Otis “Bennie” Benefiel, brother Willie Benefiel, Cliff Benefiel, sister Mildred Benefiel Burrows, daughter Brenda Marshall McConnell, and grandson Clay Marshall in a Heavenly Reunion.
Her Life Celebration will be led by Pastor Orville Moody, held graveside at Memorial Park Cemetery, on Friday, July 27 at 11 AM and is being coordinated by Stumpff Funeral home.
The family asks in lieu of flowers please donate to Rose Hill Community Baptist Church, Dewey, Oklahoma.
She will always be remembered by the many who loved her as a strong, enthusiastic, energetic woman of faith who had an amazing love of and from her family. Sweet Betty Lea you will be sorely missed, till we join you in the family’s Heavenly Celebration!
