Susan was the daughter of George Michalko (var. Mehalko) and Ellen Marcinko, both natives of Austria who immigrated to the United States in the 1880s. She married (1) Stephen Cegarsky (var. Cigarski) on 15 Oct 1909; (2) John Soloman (var. Salamon) on 9 May 1921; and (3) Andrew Hudak on 27 Feb 1935, all occurring in Luzerne, Penn. Susan died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Helen Ewalt, in Baltimore, Md. She was survived by her husband, Andrew Hudak, Wilkes-Barre, Penn.; sons John Cigarsky, Westfield, Mass., and Stephen Cigarsky, Port Griffith, Penn.; daughters Mrs. Ewalt, Mrs. Anna Piasecki, Port Griffith, Mrs. Susan Kacik, Mrs. Margaret Jeffra, Mrs. Mary Haber, all of Baltimore, Md., and Irene, Betty and Vera Solomon, also of Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Anna Panzik, Baltimore; two brothers, George Michalko, Suffolk, Va., and Stephen Michalko, Los Angeles, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren. Obituaries were published in The Baltimore Sun, Thu., 01 Apr 1943, p.21, and the Times Leader, Wilkes-Barre, Mon. p.m., 05 Apr 1943, p.16.
