Unity Masters, 84, quietly passed away Tuesday, December 22, 1998, at Heritage Bennion Care Center, where she had lived for the past six years.
Unity was born in Salt Lake City, September 7, 1914, to Stephen and Henrietta Price. She was a granddaughter of Jeremiah Hatch. She was a talented artist, singer and dancer. We would like to thank all of those at Bennion Care who helped her, especially, her aids, young ladies of great worth.
She was married and divorced twice. She was married to Robert Logan, of Los Angeles. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Linda Joyce Logan, who only lived one day. This brought a sadness from which Unity never completely recovered. Later she married Wm. Fielding Masters, and they had a son, George F. Masters, of West Jordan.
Unity was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was endowed in the Los Angeles Temple, and enjoyed working in the temples until her health no longer allowed her this joy of service.
She is survived by her son, George (Sharon) Masters; grandchildren, Cindy (Greg) Gritton, Jennifer (Robert) Benson, Nathan (Emily) Masters, Lisa (Ross) Owen, Charity (Greg) Schutz, Rachel Masters, Stephen Masters; five great-grandchildren (and one on the way); and her brother, Larry S. Price; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, etc. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Linda, six of her seven brothers and both of her sisters.
Unity's funeral will be held Sat, December 26, 1998, at 1 p.m. in the West Jordan Utah East Stake Center, 1899 West 7600 South, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will precede it Saturday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. in the Relief Society Room. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home, and interment will be in the West Jordan City Cemetery.
