Marie Annette (Batsford) Magacs was the 1st of 2 children, and only daughter of Harold Edward Batsford, Jr & Rita Marie Barnhart.
Marie married Craig A. Magacs. Sometime after they got married, they bought the house next to my parents, not realizing they were moving next door to her father's 1st Cousin, my mother.
Marie was diabetic, which seriously impacted her health. There was the possibility that her health would prevent her from having children, yet she and husband Craig did have 1 child, son Tyler Richard Magacs. Sadly, their son lived for only 1 day.
Marie passed away in either Binghamton, NY, where there are large hospitals, or at her home in Greene, NY, due to complications from diabetes, on Dec. 10, 1999. She is buried in the Canal Street Cemetery, on North Canal St. in Greene, NY, in a plot next to her infant son.
