READER HERE RESTS A remnant of the Under Written Deceas'd who Died the 12th day of Sept. 1807, in the 85th year of his age. From early life, and young manhood A pillar in this church I stood With hope intent to do some good But rip with age I leave the stage My body in this tomb I lay My soul ascends to brighter day Now marble, faithful to your trust Soon's morning rises, wake my dust Tho' earth I am, and earth to be I resurrection, hope to see I come to me, I can't to you! John Crane Senr, Amen Adieu
