Debra Ann Ferguson, 59, of Greenville, Illinois passed away at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Reno, IL. Debra Ann Christian was a daughter of Harrison Hugh Christian and Rose Evelyne (Cordry) Christian and was born on August 27, 1958 in Mexico, Missouri. She attended school there moving to Pocahontas with her family in 1969. Debra attended the Pocahontas Elementary School and graduated from Greenville High School in 1976. Debra worked at Utlaut Memorial Hospital for many years in most departments including Fair Oaks, the Floor and Obstetrics. She was later office manager for their offices. Debra received her Registered Nurses Degree from Kaskaskia College.

Debra was a loving grandmother who spent much of her free time caring for her grandchildren, Cali and Tommy. She was looking forward to helping care for her future grandson, Daniel. Debra also enjoyed spending her remaining free time fishing and watching Cardinal Baseball and looked forward to sharing these passions with her grandchildren.

Debra and Thomas E. Ferguson were united in marriage at the Greenville First Presbyterian Church on March 11, 1978 and enjoyed just 15 years together before his death on August 13, 1993. Debra was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Debra is survived by their four children: Joni (James Meissen) Ferguson of Champaign, Lisa C. Ferguson of Urbana, Emily (D.J. Roberts) Ferguson-Roberts of Woodstock, GA, Jessica (Rodger) Lovsey of Vandalia, grandchildren Cali Lovsey, Thomas Meissen, Daniel Meissen, Jonah Roberts, sister Kathryn (Melvin) Noll, of Marine, IL and brother Daniel (Janice) Christian, of Steedman, MO.
