Bernice I. Potter, 99, passed away Tuesday, July 24th, in Junction City. She was born September 29, 1918 in the Buckeye Community, the daughter of Taylor and Mabel (Meek) Dobbins. Growing up in the area, Bernice attended local schools. in 1952 she was married to Charles Potter. Their married life was spent in Nebraska, Utah and Kansas. She had been a waitress at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Charles preceded her in death in 1972. Bernice is survived by nieces and nephews.The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, July 28th, at the Danner Funeral Home. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch/Girls Town USA & Family Resource Center POB 1890 Amarillo, Texas 79174-0001. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
