DEATH NOTICE:
O. H. Burkwall, 73, an old settler at Assaria, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. A. Anderson, near
Assaria, at ten o'clock Friday morning. He was born in Blekinge, Sweden, October 4, 1847, and came to this country in 1865, locating at Galesburg, Ill. In 1884 he moved with his family to Assaria. For the past few years he lived with his daughter, Miss Edna Burkwall at Karon, Ia. But a year ago returned to the old home. He is survived by three daughters and two sons, Herman Burkwall, missionary, at Canton, China;
Mrs. Algot Johnson, Smolan; Mrs. A. A. Anderson, Assaria; Anthony Burkwall, Tacoma, Wash., and
Edna Burkwall, Karon, Ia. Seventeen grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday
afternoon at the home at 1:30 O'clock and at the Salemsborg Mission church at two o'clock. Burial will be in the cemetery at Assaria.
Spouse of Christiana Olson and son of Håkan Borjesson and Truen Olsdotter. He was born in Kyrkhult Parish Blekinge, Sweden
