Bobby Alexander, age 92, of Carlisle, Kentucky, and previously Paris, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at St. Joseph Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky. The son of the late Robert Tilton and Leila Kerns Alexander, he was born July 19, 1925, in Nicholas County, Kentucky. Bobby was most proud of his service in the Navy from October 1943 to June 1946 on the U.S. Bataan in the Pacific. Having worked on airplanes in the Navy, he started his post-military career in the late 1940s as a technician at Baldwin Chevrolet, in Paris, then opened Doyle and Alexander Repair in the 1950s and later owned the Chevron station at 19th and Main Streets in the 1960s. Always wanting to be busy, he continued to work at various repair jobs into his late 70s.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Geneva; and sister, Betty Lee Moss. He is survived by: his son, Rick Alexander, of Atlanta; cousin, Margaret Berry, of Covington; step-son, Donnie Fuller (Phyllis), of Millersburg; step-daughter, Deborah Timmons (Jeff), of Louisville; nephew, David Moss, of Carlisle; nieces, Lee Ann Moss Shrout (Ned), of Richmond, and Brenda Moss Giles, of Cynthiana; step- grandchildren, Kristal Fuller Cameron (Tracy), Chad Fuller and Tim Fuller, of Lexington, and Brian Timmons and Ashley Timmons, of Louisville; and step-great-granddaughter, Trina Cameron, of Paris.

Having donated his body to U.K. Medical Research, no funeral or memorial service is planned.
