In her early years, she worked at the Dearth Chicken Farm in Chelmsford, MA. For most of her life, however, she was a Weaver for Abbott Worsted in Lowell and for Faulkner Mills in Billerica, MA. Later in her life, she worked at Lowell Insulated Wire Co., Honeywell Corp., and Raytheon Corp., all of Lowell. She also worked at the Beaconcrest Nursing Home under the Community Team Work Program before her retirement.
She was a member of the Chelmsford Street Baptist Church.
