William Earle Bashore

THORNVILLE - William Earle Bashore, 80, of Thornville, passed away at 8:03 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Earle was born May 15, 1938 in Thornville, Ohio, the son of the late William Lyman and Gertrude Gilmore Bashore. He was a 1957 graduate of Thornville High School. He had worked for the Shelly Company and Owens Corning. He loved to hunt and trap as a young boy and earned enough money as a teenager to buy his first car himself. Earle was also a lifetime farmer.

Earle is survived by his wife, Jean whom he married in 1958; two sons, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Adam Bashore; three brothers, Charles Walter, Lyman Eugene, and Clifford Bashore; and a sister, Gladys Bashore Peterson.

Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Dave Mason officiating. A private graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Zion Ridge Cemetery.
