Phebe Anna was born in Plattsburg, Ohio, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elder Shyrack. While as a small child, she moved with her parents near Admire, KS. and married Joseph Edgar Prescott June 9,1897 in Admire, KS. They moved to St. John, KS. in 1910 and then to north of Ensign, KS. in 1915.
They had 2 sons - Eldred and Joseph C., 3 daughters- Maude, Zella, Lucille and later adopted a girl child, Dorothy. Her fellowship with them was one of the greatest joys of her life. She was the most loving mother and wife, always thinking of others, rather than of self. She had to go through many hardships to keep her family together, but with her love for them she awlays managed.
It was never her good fortune to be close to church, so she could attend regularly, but whenever she could she would go so she could take her children. She was a stern believe in God and always lived that kind of a life.
