Opal W Fink, 94, formerly of Bear Lake, PA, died Friday, July 20, 2018, at Slate Belt Nursing and Rehabilitation, Bangor, PA. She was born December 16, 1923, in Corry, PA, a daughter of the late Forest and Vera Adams. Opal was raised and educated in Corry, attending Corry Area schools. She then married and stayed home to raise and care for her family. Opal sold Avon for many years in the Bear Lake and Corry area and was a member of the Avon Presidents Club. She also completed two classes at Jamestown Community College in Golfing and Landscaping. Opal was a member of the Wrightsville community and enjoyed volunteering with the Auxiliary Ladies Group. Church attendance and volunteering was a very special part of her week. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning, freezing, baking, cooking large family meals and going on long walks. Opal always put her family first and foremost. She loved attending celebrations with her husband Lloyd and many beach and cruise vacations with her daughters. In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her first husband, Sam J Baker, and her second husband, Lloyd L Fink, on August 29, 2017; a daughter, Linda Secor; a daughter-in-law, Mary Baker; a son, Victor Fink, and two brothers, Milton and Roosevelt Adams. Opal is survived by her daughter, Carol Akam of Mt Bethel, PA; two sons, Jerry Baker of Spring Creek, PA, and Michael Fink and his wife Laura of Bangor, PA. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, Corry, and attend the funeral service there on Wednesday at 11 am. Rev Brian Eiss will officiate. Burial will be in Wrightsville Cemetery, Wrightsville. PA. (Corry, Journal)
