Elaine was born on January 25, 1933, in Pepin County, WI, and was the daughter of Elmer and Cynthia (Claflin) Anderson. In 1951 she married Dwight Sievwright and they made a home on a farm in Ella, WI. In 1969 they bought a farm near Durand, WI.
After the sudden death of Dwight in July 1969, she lived on that farm for five more years until she met Eugene Bechel. In 1974 she married Eugene and moved to a farm near Plum City, WI. There Eugene and Elaine lived until they sold the farm and moved to Durand in 2011.
Elaine enjoyed sewing. She would spend many hours creating special projects for friends and family at her sewing machine.
