Olive F. Blake, age 100, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Prairie Place in Ripon.

Olive was born on July 11, 1918 in Ripon, WI, the youngest of five sisters and two brothers of Otto and Anna (Schrader) Badtke. She graduated from Ripon High School and on February 1, 1942, she married Ralph M. Blake in Ripon. Ralph passed away in 1986. Olive worked with Ralph as a business partner throughout her life. They owned Blake's Breadbasket Bakery and operated other bakeries as well. She was a past member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Ripon. Olive loved sports, especially ice skating, cross-county skiing, and bowling. She won many medals for ice skating, and was a member of Wisconsin Women's Bowling Association and was part of the “600 Club.” In 1989 she was named the “Grand Duchess” of the bowling association for being the oldest member. Olive had a passion for volunteering in the Ripon and surrounding areas, and the City of Ripon officially named September 14, 2002 as “Olive Blake Day” for exceeding 20,000 volunteer hours and enhancing the lives of Ripon residents.

Olive is survived by her daughter, Mary Holschbach of Ripon, WI; a grand-son, Erik (Kristin Korff) Johnson of Kiel, WI; a sister-in-law, Ione Badtke of Appleton, WI; special nieces and nephews, Lenore Kohl and Shirley Zetner of Ripon, WI, Royce Decker, Sr. of FL, Karen Olson of Horicon, WI, and Patrick Brunner of Colorado Springs, CO, and other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; a special cousin Liz Mueller of FL as well as many other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Anna Badtke; her husband Ralph Blake; five sisters, Ethel Decker, Laura Murchie, Marie Leeman, Irma Badtke, and Alice Brunner; a brother, Harvey Badtke, and a brother lost in infancy.

A visitation for Olive will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, July 23, 2018, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971.

A Funeral Service for Olive will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 23, 2018, at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Olive's name.

Her family would like extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Atrium Post Acute Care of New Holstein as well as Prairie Place in Ripon for their wonderful care of Olive.
