Rose Jahner, 74, Linton, ND, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 in the Strasburg Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton with Rev. Gary Benz officiating. Burial will be at ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Visitation at Myers Funeral Home, Linton.
Rose was born in Strasburg on September 28, 1932, the daughter of Romanus and Celestina (Wagner) Ternes. She attended country school.

Rose married Pete Jahner on June 28, 1958 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.

Rose worked at Linton Motel for several years and also did daycare in her home. She loved children, both her own and the ones she cared for in her daycare. They brought so much joy to her life.

Rose made the best homemade buns, pie and chokecherry jelly. She had many talents, but her favorites were gardening and refinishing woodwork. Her faith and will to live inspired everyone.

Rose died April 22, 2007 in the Strasburg Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Rose is survived by her husband: Peter "Pete" Jahner, Linton, ND; four sons and three daughters-in-law: Mike and Candice Jahner of Colorado Springs, CO, Peter and Lisa Jahner of Bismarck, ND James Jahner of Bismarck, ND, and Greg and Tanya Jahner of Bismarck, ND; one daughter and son-in-law: Laure and Steven Shilts of Chippewa Falls, WI; six grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla, Emily, Ellie, Erin and Ava; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Eddie and Lois Ternes of New Hall, IA, Isadore and Myrna Ternes of Minneapolis, MN and Tony & Mary Ternes of Minneapolis, MN; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Olivia Jangula of Linton, ND and Tessie and Neil Krumm of Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Bob, Ben, Raymond, Auggie, Oscar and Aloys, and two sisters, Sybella and Cecilia.
