Services for Hayes Cook, 69, who died Sunday morning in the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Ashworth, 1122 Blaisdell street, will be held at 3:15 p.m. today at the McAllister-Julian-Poorman funeral home, 304 North 5th street. The Rev. Paul Washburn, pastor of St. John's Evangelical United Brethren church, will officiate, and burial will be in Willwood Burial park.
Born in Harrison, Nov. 30, 1877, Mr. Cook suffered a cerebral hemorrhage 18 months ago.
Surviving are two sons, Hayes, Jr., and Elmer, both of Rockford; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Benedict and Mrs. James Ashworth, both of Rockford, Mrs. Ruth Patterson, Waukesha, Wis., and Mrs. Hazel Tudor, Lancaster, O., 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
