Dr. Lewis A. Webb, age 71, of Conway, died Friday, December 20, 1985. He was the son of the late Vert A. Webb and Effie Burris Webb of Hector. He was born August 28, 1914, at Hector. He graduated from Hector High School, attended what is now Arkansas Tech and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas. He received his medical degree at the University of Arkansas medical school at Little Rock. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Presbyterian Church. Dr. Webb was engaged in general practice in Dardanelle until 1973. He then was employed the Veterans Administration Hospital at Little Rock until he retired in 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mardie McAlister Webb of the home; two daughters, Mary Louise Hull and Lewis Ann Thomas, both of Danville; a brother, Dr. James Webb of Jonesboro; two sisters, Frances Webb and Lois Neal, both of Conway, and two grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a. m. Monday, December 23, at the Cornwell Funeral Chapel at Dardanelle by the Rev. Mike Morney. Burial will be in Bowling Springs Cemetery near Hector. Active pallbearers: Jim Webb, Aubrey Thomas, Roger Franks, Eddie Tackett, Emmett Thomas and David Lewellyen. Honorary pallbearers: Kenneth Parsley, Carl Jaggers, Clarence Churchill, Euel Campbell, Courtney Campbell and Ralph Sikes.
