Note: no death or burial record has been found for Mary, but she likely died about 1700, as her husband remarried in 1701. She was baptized in Boston on 1d 1mo 1646 (1 March 1646, or more correctly written 1 March 1645/6), aged "about 8 days". This makes her birth date about 21 Feb 1646 (more correctly 21 Feb 1645/6).

Mary was the daughter of Peter Oliver and Sarah Newgate of Boston, Mass. She m. (1) c. 1666 Jonathan Shrimpton, the son of Edward Shrimpton of Bednal Green, Middlesex, England; and m. (2) as the second of his three wives, c. 1674, Nathaniel Williams, b. Boston 16 Sep 1642, d. Boston 23 Dec 1714, the son of Nathaniel and Mary Williams. Nathaniel had m. (1) Lydia _______, and following Mary's death he m. (3) in Boston 21 Feb 1700/1 Sarah (Wheelwright) Crisp. Nathaniel was called a merchant in his will dated 6 Feb 1700 with codicil 22 Dec 1714. It was proved 28 Dec 1714.

* Nathaniel (Rev.), b. Boston 25 Aug 1675, d. Boston 10 Jan 1737/8, and m. c. 1699 Anne Bradstreet, granddaughter of Anne (Dudley) Bradstreet. Nathaniel received his A.B. at Harvard in 1693 and was ordained in 1698. He was a private tutor in Boston 1700-1703, a teacher at the Boston Latin School from 1703-1708, and the headmaster there from 1708 to 1733. He founded the grammar school at Boston in 1734.
