Mrs. Louisa Bradbury probably the oldest resident in Rush county, passed away at 10:30 o'clock Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Clevidence, of this place. Mrs. Bradburn was 98 years of age. She had been in failing health for several months, but previous to this time she had been active. Up to two years ago Mrs. Bradburn had made frequent trips to town and had visited this office on several occasions. The deceased was born on October 6, 1844, in Ohio, and was united in marriage on December 20. 1869, to Isaac Bradburn, who preceded her in death several years ago. Mrs. Bradburn was a member of the Carthage Friends church. Those remaining to mourn her loss are three sons, L. G. Bradburn, of this place; Harvey Bradburn of near Rushville, and Thomas Bradburn of near Centerville; two daughters, Mrs. John Clevidence, Carthage, and Mrs. Allie Burton, of near Knightstown. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grand-children also survive. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Thompson Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. Murray S. Kenworthy of Richmond, former Friends pastor of Carthage, assisted by the Rev. Frank F. Jones and the Rev. Orval Dillon. Mrs. Robort Spangler and Mrs. H. T. Beher j sang "Lead Kindly Light" and "Jesus j Lover of My Soul", accompanied by I Mrs. A. J. Carr at the piano. Pall bearers were John Julian, Lan Frost, Walter Binford, Ora Siler, Charles O. White and Oliver Drysdale. Interment was made in Town cemetery.
