Allen, Yvonne 1/15/1927 - 8/4/2017 Ann Arbor Our dear mother, Yvonne Marie Allen of Ann Arbor, peacefully passed away at 90 years of age on August 4, 2017 at Arbor Hospice Residence. Born January 15, 1927 in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of Duncan and Regina (DesChene) Boudreau. On June 16, 1951 she married Bruce James Allen at Saint Michael's Church in Flint, MI. Yvonne, wife and mother of seven children, was a vital community volunteer and Vice President of Allen Foundry Sales. She was an active member of the Barton Hills Country Club, Mu Phi Epsilon Ann Arbor Alumni Chapter, Women City Club and parishioner of Saint Thomas Catholic Church. Throughout her life, Yvonne contributed her musical talents, leadership, enthusiasm and organizational skills to the schools, swim clubs and churches in the communities where she lived. She is survived by her six children: Laura, Rebecca, Bruce, Larry, Jacquelyne and John as well as nine grandchildren and her brother Larry Boudreau. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce J. Allen and son, Thomas Duncan Allen. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 530 Elizabeth Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
