SCOTT, Margaret Ellen - 87, of Yarmouth, passed away peacefully at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on January 26, 2011. Born March 2, 1923, in Avondale, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Edna (Hunter) Huntley. Margaret grew up in Poplar Grove, Hants Co., and moved to Yarmouth when she was in her twenties. She moved back to Windsor in 1977 and returned to Yarmouth in 2000. She was a member of Beacon United Church. She was a past member and president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #9 Windsor Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Ladies Guild and Gliders Club in Windsor. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing cards and Legion dances. She is survived by sons, Bruce, N.W.T.; Leslie (Nancy), Plymouth; Murray (Delores), Dartmouth; brothers, Frederick (Grace) Huntley, Windsor; Gilmore (Kathleen) Huntley, Windsor; sister, Emma (Johnny) DeVenney, Windsor; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by first husband, James LeBlanc; second husband, Allison Scott; daughter-in-law, Linda LeBlanc; granddaughter, Jennifer. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. Visitation took place on Sunday, January 30 from 12 p.m. until the funeral service began at 2 p.m. at Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jim Bragan officiated. Interment will take place at a later date in Windsor Forks Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
