Roger was retired from Ross Industries in Midland, Va. He was a faithful member of the Shiloh Church of the Brethren and he loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Roger never met a stranger. He had a love for children and if you couldn't find Roger at home, you could find him at the ballpark. He was a member of the Madison Football Booster's Club. Roger loved to hunt, fish and plant a big garden. He sure could grow some fantastic tomatoes and loved to share with everyone. Roger will be missed by many people.
He is survived by his fiance, Mary Jane Aylor of Madison; two sons, Terry Watson and wife, Lorinda, and Curt Aylor and wife, Tonya, all of Madison; brother, Sonny Anderson and wife, Brenda, of Sperryville, Va.; sister-in-law, Barbara Anderson of Castleton, Va.; grandchildren, Chris Watson and wife, Brandy, Whitey Watson and wife, Sierra, Aliyah Aylor, and Lilli Aylor all of Madison; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Gage, Paige, and Paxton Watson; nephews, David Anderson, Josh Anderson and wife, Andrea, and Chris Anderson; niece, Sonya Anderson Wilson and husband, Rob; special friends, Aksel Falk, David Falk, and Jeff Ford; and loving dog, Dixie.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with interment in Madison Memorial Gardens. Pastor Glynn Shifflett will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the funeral home in Madison.
