David Lee Hagee, 78, of Roanoke, Va., was called to join his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven on Thursday, July 12, 2018, after his long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Janet Denise Hagee; his parents, Herman and Virgie Hagee; his sister, Mary Jane and Kenneth Frye; and his brother-in-law, Kenneth Warden.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife of 50 years, Naoma Alley Hagee; his son, Michael Hagee; his grandchildren, Breann, Brittany and Bryce Hagee; his brothers, Garland and Penny Hagee, Harold and Audre Hagee, Clarence Hagee, Buford and Marie Hagee; his sisters, Martha Warden, Dorcas and Randall Johnson, Lois and Ernie Musser, Ruth and Allen Waller, and Libby and Steve Henley; and many surviving nieces and nephews.

David grew up in Wythe County, attended Rural Retreat High School, and served proudly in the United States Navy. He made his home in Roanoke, Va., where he worked for Davis H. Elliot Company and was a member of IBEW 637.

The family would like to thank his many care givers and supporters, with a special thank you to Jeanni Togo.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018, at Pleasant View Church, 1199 Pleasant View Road, Austinville, Va. Interment will follow in Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Oakey’s South Chapel.
