She was born May 28, 1917. Her parents were Fred William and Mary Inez (Mains) Tulley. She married Eugene Irving Anderson on Oct. 9, 1940, in Franklin. He preceded her in death June 11, 1999. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Hippensteel of Vincennes and Judy Deiwert of Franklin; two sons, David Anderson of Greer, S.C., and John Anderson of Naples, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Tulley.
She was a 1939 graduate of DePauw University.
She was a homemaker. She was previously employed for three years as a social director by Camp Atterbury. She was vice-chairwoman for the Bartholomew County Republican Party in the mid-1960s.
She was a member of the Alpha chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Friday Bridge Club and Tri Kappa. She enjoyed sewing and was an avid golfer, playing at Hillview and Harrison Lake country clubs.
Services were entrusted to Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel in Columbus, Indiana.
