One of the oldest and soundest members of the Orange County bar, - - to the bar of the Supreme Court of Vermont in 1833, - to the U.S. Circuit Court in 1842. He was a peace-making lawyer – a lover of the church and Christianity – a devoted Sabbath School librarian, who will be greatly missed in the house of God. He died in peace.
